The city of Selah shall designate and set aside spaces on the public streets where a carrier bus vehicle may stand while obtaining or discharging passengers. The city clerk may upon application therefor, issue a permit to the owner of a carrier bus granting him the use of any such space. No permit shall be issued unless the applicant furnishes proof of compliance with the laws of the state of Washington and ordinances of the city of Selah relating to and governing the operation of carrier bus vehicles and has attached to the application the written consent of the owner or lessee of the property abutting such space for a carrier bus. It is unlawful for any person to solicit, offer, give or receive either directly or indirectly anything of value as consideration for such written consent. (Ord. 511, § 1, 1973.)
