(a) The term "person" wherever used in this chapter means an individual or individuals, a corporation, firm, association, partnership, their lessees, trustees or receivers.

(b) The term "carrier bus" wherever used in this chapter means every motor vehicle used for the purpose of transporting or carrying passengers together with incidental baggage and freight on a regular schedule of time and rates and over a fixed route. A motor vehicle shall be considered to be a carrier bus even though substantially the entire route traveled by such vehicle is within the corporate limits of any city or town or the corporate limits of any adjoining city or town.
