All licenses issued pursuant to the ordinance codified in this chapter may be revoked by the city council of the city of Selah for the violation of the provisions of this or any other ordinance, or for any cause which shall be deemed sufficient by the council; any person conducting or operating any billiard table, pool table or bowling alley, for hire, for which a license is required by the ordinance codified herein to be first obtained, after notice of such revocation, shall be liable to the penalties herein provided as for conducting such business without a license.
