The following penalties shall be assessed for the first and ongoing violations of this chapter. Each written notice of violation shall be considered a separate violation. An ongoing violation is defined as a repeated violation for which a written notice of violation was previously issued, the violation was not corrected, and one or more subsequent notice of violations are required.

(1) For a first violation, a written notice of violation shall be issued outlining requirements for compliance.

(2) For a second violation, the offender shall be subject to a civil penalty of one hundred dollars;

(3) For a third violation, the offender shall be subject to a civil penalty of five hundred dollars;

(4) For a fourth violation, and each ongoing violation thereafter, the offender shall be subject to a civil penalty of one thousand dollars and/or removal of and discontinuance of city water and sewer utility services. (Ord. 1799, § 1, 2010.)
