As used in this chapter:

"Electric motorized foot scooter" means a device with no more than ten-inch or smaller diameter wheels that has handlebars, is designed to be stood or sat upon by the operator, and is powered by an electric motor that is capable of propelling the device with or without human propulsion.

"Foot scooter" means a device with no more than ten-inch or smaller diameter wheels that has handlebars, is designed to be stood or sat upon by the operator, and is propelled through human propulsion.

"Gas powered motorized foot scooter" means a device with no more than ten-inch or smaller diameter wheels that has handlebars, is designed to be stood or sat upon by the operator, and is powered by an internal combustion engine that is capable of propelling the device with or without human propulsion.

"Motorized scooter" means a device that is equipped with handlebars and a seat and is designed to be operated in a similar fashion to a motorcycle or moped, and is powered by an internal combustion engine motor that is capable of propelling the device with or without human propulsion. This definition does not apply to motorcycles and mopeds regulated under RCW Title 46 nor does it apply to personal mobility assistance devices.

"Roller-skates" means a pair of shoes or boots mounted upon two sets of wheels and are propelled by the person wearing them; roller-skates shall also mean inline skates where a pair of shoes or boots are mounted upon three or more wheels located one behind the other under the attached shoe or boot and are propelled by the person wearing them.

"Skateboard or Longboard" means a board constructed of any material with wheels affixed to the underside and designed to be ridden by a person. (Ord. 1921, § 1, 2013.)
