(a) Whenever there is a change of ownership of a business, the business registration previously issued to the withdrawing owner or owners must be surrendered to the city clerk for cancellation. The new owner or owners shall apply and obtain a new business registration.

(b) Every registration granted under this chapter shall be posted in a conspicuous place in the place of business of the registration. Any registration issued under and by virtue of the provisions of this chapter shall be personal and nontransferable.

(c) If a taxpayer is a corporation, it shall disclose its officers and their addresses. If the taxpayer is a partnership, the partners' names shall be disclosed with their addresses.

(d) Two or more separate businesses transacted by one taxpayer at the same site shall require a separate business registration for each business. (Ord. 2005, § 1, 2016; Ord. 1778,, 2009.)
