(a) Informal. Applicants for development are encouraged to participate in an informal meeting prior to the formal preapplication meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss in general terms the proposed development, required permits, required hearings, and approval process.

(b) Formal. May be initiated by either staff or at the request of an applicant and would be used to identify the procedure, requirements, and the environmental information needed to process the application. The city would invite affected jurisdictions, agencies and/or special districts as well as affected city departments to the preapplication meeting. (Ord. 2174, § 2 (Exh.
