No person shall use fire hydrants within the incorporated limits of the city unless he or she is a member of the fire department conducting official business, is a member of the public works department conducting official business, or has received permission from the water superintendent. No person other than members of the fire department shall be permitted to ride on the fire apparatus except by permission of the fire chief, and no person shall in any way interfere with firefighters, their duties, or fire equipment while on duty at fire calls, on aid calls or on drill. No vehicle shall park within twenty feet of any fire hydrant. (Ord. 2208, § 1 (Exh. A), 2023; Ord. 90, § 9, 1940.)
