This chapter is enacted to provide minimum requirements for installation of fire hydrants designated or approved by the approving authority of the city of Selah in the exercise of his or her duties pursuant to Section 10.301 of the International Fire Code or similar referenced section in the future editions of the International Fire Code as adopted by the city.
