(a) The Selah fire department and its chief and his designees are appointed and designated as the division and official responsible for the enforcement and administration of this chapter.

(b) Exclusive enforcement and administration of the provisions of the International Fire Code adopted by this chapter are vested in the Selah fire department and its personnel except as provided in Resolution 1249 whereas the permit services division of the Yakima County department of public works is authorized to perform plan review and technical assistance to the Selah fire department.
