Any vacancy of the municipal court judge due to health, disability or resignation shall be filled by appointment by the mayor for the remainder of the incumbent's unexpired term. The person appointed to fill the vacancy shall meet the qualifications of the municipal court judge.

The council shall have the power to confirm the appointment of any municipal judge pro tempore. (Ord. 1184, § 2, 1994.)
